The owners decide to intervene on their small holiday home, overlooking the sea. It is a small building, for which it is allowed an extension of no more than 8 square meters.
Although these are limited areas, the opportunity is good for a profound functional and distributive reorganization.
The project involves the construction of a second bathroom and a more comfortable distribution in the living area. From the point of view of the surfaces, the building envelope is improved by improving its performance in terms of thermal insulation and offering a coating in local trachyte, consistent with the characteristics typical of the local building, in full respect of the delicate coastal landscape. The outdoor spaces are shaded with canopies in cannula supported by chestnut wood pillars.
